My dear Mr. Wellington,
Allow me to address your question.
The earth around the Spooky Land of Garr is prone to inexplicable seismic shifting about, alarming upheavals and is teeming with bands of cutlass wielding brigands under the leadership of apprentice robber barons...
It is unsurprising then that the spur line was considered to formidable a task to attempt by a bunch of amateur gandy dancers...
A shame indeed for the notable stations along that particular route:
'Tantarabim Halt', 'Yoko Ono Boulevard' and the horrifically grandiose 'Fry Terminal' where, I'm told, exists a kiosk, manned by an impish, mop-headed imbecile, from which one can purchase some of the most delicious meat patty sandwiches, pommes frites and invigorating herbal infusions known to humankind.

Mr Wellington : If you mean the Land of Gaar, you should know that it is so frightening not even an enthusiastic volunteer steam engine driver would dare go anywhere near it.
