Having compared this image with the view from my window, I can confirm that you are correct in your contention.

I was basing my assessment on many summer holidays spent in Scarborough looking from the beach through torrential rain at the inviting vista of the North Sea.
The ocean here is close to body temperature at the moment I suspect and has pelicans floating on the top and sharks swimming just under the surface.

I have to admit though that neither of these are the ocean, as such, but merely where the river meets the ocean.
On reflection I think prefer the North Sea.
