Could it be that, far from being out of print, the Dobson canon continues to perform handsomely and that some secret illegitimate is pocketing the royalties? I think, as they tend to say, we should be told.

So are we to assume that that ‘D’ is the initial of the illegitimate spawn? What name would Dobson have chosen? Or was such a choice the prerogative of whatsoever beguiling floozie bore the child in question?
Perhaps the ‘D’ is a vernacular form of the definite article.
